A safe space for victims / survivors of violence and abuse…

One of the most challenging things for victims / survivors is that they don’t feel safe. They are often numb because they don’t feel safe in their bodies, they don’t feel safe moving through the world and they don’t feel safe with their rage, shame, anger, pain … all the emotions feel unsafe.

Depending on the age, duration and the type of violence / abuse, survivors often have a sense of how they were before and how they changed after the abuse.

The trauma and memory is trapped in their body and a lot of their life is orientated around avoiding the memory (thoughts, feelings, physical pain) and being hypervigilant so it doesn’t happen again. This makes sense and at the same time, it’s a very painful way to live.

In my experience of working with survivors…

Somatic therapies such as the Grinberg Method are a very powerful & effective way to work with abuse trauma.

Rather than talk extensively about the event, the bodywork bypasses mental loops and you’ll be guided to re-connect with your body and release the stored memories and emotions that are trapped in the body: rage, shame, hopelessness, pain, fear etc.

I know it might seem impossible but you are not alone and you’ll be guided every step of the way. Most importantly, you’ll start to have a sense of agency over your life again. This is my wish for you.

If you have experienced any form of violence or abuse, please book a private call so we can have a chat and I can answer any questions you might have.

The latest study in Germany shows violence and abuse is mostly unreported. If you need help in Germany, here are some hotlines you can call. Please also consider booking a session if you would like to try somatic therapy / bodywork.

LATEST STUDY RESULTS IN GERMANY

Over 95% of Partnership violence in Germany is unreported.

Published in February 2026, it is the first field study of this kind in Germany that uses a wide concept of violence.

Besides physical violence, it includes different forms of abuse: like economic, psychological, digital, and emotional pressure - even when they are not criminally prosecuted.

  • More than 15,000 people between the ages of 16 and 85 participated in this new study over a period of two years.

  • Commissioned by three federal institutions, it is based on interviews and standardised questionnaires.

The result is a comprehensive database on the subject of violence in relationships.
