Most psychotherapists / psychologists have not studied bodywork and most bodyworkers do not have a background in psychology / psychotherapy.
By studying and experiencing both (with my research with LSD and MDMA at Basel University on top), I believe I bring a unique perspective and understanding on what needs to change in the mind and body for meaningful and lasting transformational change.

Start with an intake session and see if the bodywork I do is suitable for you.
If you live locally, I suggest booking a package and getting 1-2 sessions a week.
If you live further away, I recommend booking an intensive and having 2 sessions a day, across 2-5 days.

Goal: In the first session, you can find out, without obligation, whether the Grinberg Method is right for you.

We will begin by discussing any special circumstances and changes since the last session. This will be followed by the regular body-oriented psychotherapy portion. At the end, you will have a few minutes alone to rest.

General Topics
-
The Grinberg Method is a somatic therapy (bodywork) and learning modality that teaches clients how regulate their nervous system and feel safe in their bodies.

Somatic therapy (bodywork) is a broad term that covers everything from osteopathy, massage, manual lymph drainage, acupuncture, chiropractors etc.. in many of these modalities, the practitioner works on your body. They do the adjustment and you reap the benefits. However if there are no changes in your life, it’s likely the problem will recur and you’ll have to see them again for another adjustment.
I like the Grinberg Method because it is a body-based learning modality.
This means that through the touch you receive in the bodywork session, you will be taught how your body holds trauma, how it perceives danger, what habitual patterns click in if you are triggered… and most importantly, how to undo this.
-
Yes, the Grinberg Method often complements other treatments of care such as: physiotherapy, psychotherapy, and other bodywork.
It focuses on learning and awareness, which can support and enhance other forms of treatment.
-
No experience is necessary.
-
Yes, the treatment can be adopted and will focus much more on recovery then learning
Specific Issues
-
I have a page dedicated to how the Grinberg Method works with physical pain »
-
Childhood trauma is addressed through the body’s present-day reactions, not by reliving memories.
In the sessions we focus on building safety, regulating the nervous system, and gradually increasing capacity for sensation and emotion. This allows old survival patterns to soften.

Work with abuse and violence trauma focuses on restoring safety, boundaries, and bodily choice.
In the sessions you are guided slowly and with consent to reconnect with sensation, regain the ability to stop or say no, and rebuild trust in your physical responses.
» I have a page dedicated to this topic »
95% of violence and abuse trauma is unreported in Germany. Please book a session if you have experienced this.
-
The Grinberg Method approaches anxiety and mental health through nervous system regulation and embodied awareness, rather than symptom suppression.
For example: Anxiety is viewed as a learned state of ongoing alertness and is maintained by breathing patterns, muscle tension, and mental loops
In a Grinberg session we would focus on:
Restoring full breathing
Reducing chronic muscular holding
Increasing tolerance for sensation without panic
-
The Grinberg Method helps children with difficult behaviours by understanding behaviour as a physical and emotional coping strategy, not a character flaw.
