Bodywork is Effective
Body-based approaches such as the Grinberg method utilize the close connection between body and mind in learning processes: For example, every time we learn a new movement in the body with the associated activation of our muscles, we also store contextual factors such as emotions.
Example:
Anyone who constantly has the fear of the exam breathing down their neck when learning math at school will also tense their neck a little after school when they are faced with a mathematical challenge. Even when school and its exams are long over.
In treatment, bodywork takes unravels these automatisms. The therapist helps clients to recognize which activations are present in the body in certain situations or even chronically in the background and which emotions, memories or fears are associated with them.
In the second step, clients learn to control and let go of tensions and postures and thus also to get out of moods, fears, etc.

How this Works
First, I will ask why you came to see me. Perhaps there is a certain topic or certain situations in your life that are particularly bothering you. Sometimes it's just a dull feeling or physical discomfort.
In bodywork, we can choose physical symptoms (e.g. bruxism, migraine, recurring pain), as well as life circumstances or specific situations as a starting point.
Then, through conversation and touch, I will help you to better understand what is happening in your body when it comes to this or that issue. During the session you can clearly experience how your body and mind react to difficult issues AND what it is like to be truly relaxed and free of “extra tension”.
Introductory Session
Duration: 90 min.
Content: In the first session we get to know each other. The first session also includes an initial diagnosis and the usual treatment like any regular session.
Objective: In the first session you can find out without obligation whether the Grinberg Method is right for you.
Regular Session
Duration: 60 min.
Cotent: We start by discussing changes since the last session. This is followed by the regular body psychotherapy part. At the end you will have a few minutes alone to relax.
About Me
I was interested in the connection between body and mind from an early age. With this motivation, I studied psychology at the University of Eichstätt (Germany) and in Basel (Switzerland). After completing my Master's degree, I set out to find a form of therapy in which the body has an appropriate role and found the Grinberg Method. I am currently in the last year of the three-year training to become a Professional Grinberg practitioner and I am constantly amazed at how quickly and sustainably change can take place through bodywork.
